I was born in Yuba City, a small town one hour north of Sacramento, California. As a child I spent all of my time playing sports, playing video games and drawing. I've always loved sports; I played soccer, baseball, basketball and also participated in Tae Kwon Do. I was very active with tons of energy, but when I had alone time I usually daydreamed about cartoons on TV. While at home I watched a lot of shows on Nickelodeon, the WB, and Fox. I always had to make time to watch shows like: Doug, Rugrats, Rocko's Modern Life, Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z and Power Rangers to name a few. And from those shows I discovered my passion to draw and make art.
It wasn't until I went to junior college when I really got serious about art. Throughout my high school and early college years I was set on majoring in biology or chemistry, but then I started taking art classes and I found out that I could really pursue this as a career. From there I transferred to San Jose State University and I have dedicated my education to learning animation and illustration in this great program. I have grown a lot because of the great faculty and art community within the animation/illustration program here at SJSU, and I look forward to learning more as I advance with my education, career and life.
